Apex Motor Express Limited Implements Real Time Delivery Reporting
Apex Motor Express Limited announces the completion of its project for real time delivery reporting covering fleet operations in Ontario and Quebec. After a successful pilot in May 2003, the Company's President, Elmer Schwarz, selected Geomax™ LTL for rollout across the organization. Operating in real time, the system enables drivers to report customer deliveries that are posted immediately to the company's secure web site. After careful examination of alternative solutions the Apex implementation of Geomax™ LTL was developed using the popular BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ from Research In Motion (RIM). enabled by the Rogers AT&T Wireless GSM/GPRS network. Driver acceptance has been particularly strong using the convenient all-in-one BlackBerry™ handheld with its easy to use interface. Tony Mistry, IT Manager for Apex reports that the system is "working very well, it takes about 10 minutes to fully train each driver."
